The first official episode of autumn (though technically it aired the week before autumn) ushers in that time of year when we start rolling out the "special" programming from time to time. In coming weeks we'll have episodes covering Latin soul, blues, cover versions, '80s music, and holiday music, as well as any other curatorial brainstorms that leak in through the roof. This episode's just your standard scrappy packy drawer of '60s & '70s R&B that I assemble with the objective of healing a fractured world before it goes full-on Pompeii. Let me know if it works.
