Episode #130: Flying Easy
Some of the best Star Time episodes (the ones the Smithsonian keeps bugging me about anyway) feature songs from a compressed time frame. Whereas most episodes tend to cover material from a span of ten years or more, shows like this one, with songs from a tight 5-year window, sound like they were made by old-world craftsmen with fine Corinthian leather. So let's go on this flight through the '70s, when pilots were sexy and tarmacs were paved with gold, or more likely polyurethane.
