Episode #120: More Than I Can Stand
This week's Star Time Summer Special takes up both hours (or "both 54-minute segments" if you want to be difficult about timekeeping), and covers a theme I've wanted to do for a while: classic live performances. I think this lineup sets a Star Time record for least songs in a single show at 21. That's because there's no cutting the lengthy but brilliant monologues by Lou Rawls and Bobby Womack, and when Philip Bailey wants to ad-lib during the coda to EWF's "Reasons" you just close the off-ramp and set up detour signs like any decent person would.
