Episode #74: Heavy Makes You Happy
Not that all my shows aren't 100% spun gold, but this episode's particularly good from top to bottom. The Star Time Summer Special in the second half features songs recorded in the R&B mecca of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, at FAME Recording Studios and Muscle Shoals Sound Studios, where more than a few brilliant careers came to life (Aretha's, for example). The first hour shouldn't be overlooked. Plus: references to both Sonny and Cher, in two totally separate incidents. How do we do it?
