Episode #34: You Can't Stop My Love
Because I keep meticulous, sortable records about everything, I happen to know that this episode of Star Time contains the 1,000th song ever played on the show. I'm surprised we got there so quickly, but here we are. I should have prepared something more elaborate than the nearly brushed-off treatment I gave it, but we've never been about numbers here on Star Time (not including the number each episode gets). What we're about this week is songs by Solomon Burke, Dyke & the Blazers, Lou Rawls, Melvin Van Peebles, Shirley Brown, Redbone, the Chi-Lites and others. Also: Remember kids, clear your samples. Also: The 999th song ever played on Star Time. Stats, baby.
